Longevity & Sacred Maintenance
Equipment Care & Mat Cleaning Guide
Natural tree rubber, raw cork, and hand-woven Belgian linen are living, breathable materials. Follow these simple rituals to keep your tools pristine for years.
Natural Tree Rubber Mats
- Post-Practice Wipe: Mist lightly with our Botanical Lavender Cleanser and wipe with a soft microfiber cloth.
- Never Use Harsh Chemicals: Avoid alcohol, bleach, and essential oils with high citrus content, which degrade natural rubber grip.
- Avoid Direct Heat: Never leave rolled up in a hot car trunk or in direct blazing midday sunlight.
Portuguese Cork Blocks
- Naturally Antimicrobial: Cork contains natural suberin wax that repels moisture and bacteria on its own.
- Simple Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth and mild Castile soap. Allow to air dry upright completely.
- Do Not Submerge: Never soak cork blocks submerged in water.
Zafus & Tibetan Bowls
- Linen Slipcovers: Unzip outer cover, machine wash cold on delicate cycle, and line dry in the shade.
- Buckwheat Inners: Do not wash inner hulls. Place inner cushion in fresh air or indirect sunlight twice a year.
- Tibetan Bowls: Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Polish gently with natural beeswax once a year.
